Daikin Park History and Overview
Daikin Park is located at 501 Crawford Street in downtown Houston, Texas, and is home to the Houston Astros. The ballpark boasts a retractable roof, which keeps fans and players cool during Houston’s notoriously humid weather.
The left field side of the park pays homage to the old Union Station by featuring a railway above the left field wall, complete with a train filled with oranges. The train moves whenever an Astros player hits a home run or after an Astros win. Daikin Park has a capacity of 42,060 for Astros games.

Hover over any section in our Daikin Park (formerly Minute Maid Park) seating chart on our website or mobile app to see all row numbers. TickPick is also the only ticket marketplace that provides Astros fans with interactive, 360-degree seat views directly from that section, helping you find the perfect seat and buy with confidence this season.
Daikin Park Seat Numbers
The Daikin Park seating chart with seat numbers indicates that seat 1 is typically located closer to the lower-numbered adjacent section. For example, seat 1 in section 129 would be closest to the highest numbered seat in section 128.
Typically, the best seats are closer to home plate. Going by that logic, if you’re on the left-field line, you’d want a seat with a lower seat number, and on the right-field line, you’d look for a higher seat number. (So remember, don’t think of seat and row numbers as the same thing.)
Houston Astros Best Seats
The Best Seats for any Houston Astros game are located along the infield in sections 112-126. The other field-level section provides a nice alternative to the first and third baselines. Finally, the Crawford Boxes are a must if you want to pay the price, since it is a view you won’t get to experience at most other ballparks.
Houston Astros Standing Room Only (SRO) Seats
Houston Astros Dugout and Bullpen
The Houston Astros Dugout is in front of sections 122-127, and the visitors’ bench is in front of sections 111-116. Daikin Park has one of the most unique bullpens in baseball, with the visitors’ bullpen inside the left field wall and the Astros’ bullpen in right-center field.
Houston Astros Premium and Club Seats
Premium Seating for the Houston Astros is typically available only through season ticket plans, which include access to the Diamond Club located directly behind home plate. The amenities include exclusive access to a restaurant and wait staff; however, tickets are difficult to find on the secondary market. The Club seating sections are located on the 200 level, although they do not offer any amenities. There are tickets in sections 233-236, including $15 vouchers for food, drink, alcohol, or merchandise. When browsing tickets in those sections, ensure the ticket listing includes the voucher, as not all tickets include it.
The Crawford Boxes for Houston Astros games are located in sections 100-104, are positioned 19 feet off the field, and are among the most unique seats in any baseball game. The short porch in left field makes these seats a prime place to catch a home run, making them among baseball’s most expensive outfield seats.
Houston Astros Family Center
The Houston Astros and Daikin Park offer a children’s entertainment center called the Minute Maid Squeeze Play. The center is located behind section 133, so if you’re attending an Astros game with kids who need more than baseball to stay entertained, purchasing tickets in this area would be a wise choice.
Daikin Park Sun and Shade Guide
Daikin Park has a retractable roof that is closed for the vast majority of home games, particularly from April through October when Houston’s heat and humidity make outdoor baseball nearly unbearable for afternoon and evening games. When the roof is closed, the stadium is fully air-conditioned, and the sun is not a factor for any seat in the park.
When the roof is open, which occurs mainly for select cooler evening games in early spring or late fall, the stadium faces roughly northeast. Under open conditions, the Crawford Boxes in left field and sections along the first base line receive the most direct sunlight in the early evening innings. The third base side benefits from shade sooner under open conditions.
The retractable roof also preserves the Hill in Center Field and the old Union Station facade in left field, giving Daikin Park a unique indoor character even in the heat of summer.
Best shaded seats when the roof is open: third-base-side sections 100 to 116. The upper deck overhang also provides shade to lower-level sections on both sides.
Bottom line: If you are attending a game at Daikin Park, the roof will almost certainly be closed. Sit wherever suits your view preference and budget without worrying about the sun.
ADA Seating at Daikin Park
For those using a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend a game at Daikin Park with someone who uses a wheelchair, there is some important information you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA seating, you’ll find accessible rows at the top of most sections throughout the ballpark.
If necessary, folding chairs will be provided for guests, such as those who wish to sit with a fan while using a wheelchair. One trick you can use to filter tickets that are ADA accessible is to use our “Additional filters +” button on the event page, which allows you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible). ” This shows all seats that the seller has marked as accessible seating.
