The Day The Music Changed: A Beatles Tribute

50 years ago today, The Beatles touched down in JFK and changed the music world forever. And 50 years this Sunday, The Beatles made their first U.S. performance on The Ed Sullivan Show. To celebrate the anniversary, all week long CBS ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ has been inviting other musicians to perform their songs. Last night, it was the The Flaming Lips’ turn, and they brought along a very special friend – John Lennon’s son, Sean Ono Lennon.

Here’s a rundown of the week in performances:

Monday- Broken Bells, “And I Love Her”

Tuesday- Sting, “Drive My Car”

Wednesday- Lenny Kravitz, “Get Back”

Thursday- The Flaming Lips and Sean Ono Lennon, “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”
