Will Eminem Tour in 2020?
In 2018 Eminem surprise-dropped his 10th studio album, Kamikaze. With hit singles “Fall” and “Venom,” Kamikaze marked a distinct return to the controversial bars and aggressive delivery of Em’s past. Though some fans found it outdated, many were pleased to hear Eminem back to his lyrical, and playful, lack of constraint.
Now, Eminem has yet again dropped a record in sneak-attack fashion. The new album, Music To Be Murdered By, arrived Jan. 17th with absolutely no semblance of an album rollout preceding it.
In Music To Be Murdered By we hear Em collaborate with Royce Da 5’9, KXNG Crooked, Anderson .Paak, Black Thought, Q-Tip, and more. Unlike his past few albums, Music To Be Murdered By features production from Dr. Dre.
Though in full demonstration of his controversial tactics—see the onslaught of criticism from Ariana Grande fans about a lyric in “Unaccommodating”—Eminem has also embraced music as a form of protest, using his song “Darkness” to encourage voting as a means to regulate guns and gun violence. Now that Eminem has dropped a new album, fans are beginning to wonder if 2020 is the year he ends his North American touring hiatus. In 2018, two months after the August 31st release of Kamikaze, Eminem announced the Australian “Rapture” Tour.
The “Rapture” Tour, which consisted of four concerts across New Zealand and Australia, isn’t the first time Eminem skipped performing in North America all together. In fact, the last time Eminem toured in the U.S was with Rihanna in 2014’s “The Monster” Tour.
Consisting of 6 concerts spread between three cities, “The Monster” Tour was a highly successful stint of Eminem’s with Rihanna, an unlikely but nevertheless magical combo.
Will Eminem Tour in 2020? Now that he doesn’t have any films or film scores in the works, we think it’s possible that Eminem announce a limited, 3-5 city tour schedule in the coming months—in March, to be exact, as that will be three months after the release of Music To Be Murdered By.
